This Privacy Policy explains what information ToolzHive ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and tools, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built ToolzHive to be private by design, so the list is short.

1. The content you use with our tools

Almost every ToolzHive tool runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. When you paste text, format code, convert colors, edit images or merge PDFs, that content is processed on your own device.

• Your text, images, files and tool results are not uploaded to our servers.
• We do not store, read, analyze or share the content you put into tools.
• When you close or reload the page, the content is gone unless you saved it yourself.

2. Information stored on your device

We use your browser's local storage for a few conveniences:

• your light or dark theme preference, and
• the list of tools you marked as favorites.

This information never leaves your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Cookies

ToolzHive uses only strictly necessary cookies:

• a session cookie that keeps the website working and secures forms, and
• a security (CSRF) token that protects forms such as the contact form against forgery.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

4. Information you send us

If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic, subject and message you provide, together with your IP address (used only to prevent spam and abuse). We use this information solely to read and reply to your message. We keep messages only as long as needed to handle your request and then delete them.

5. Server logs

Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure may automatically record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request. These logs are used only to keep the service secure, diagnose problems and prevent abuse, and they are retained for a limited period.

6. Third-party services

A few tools need to contact another service to do their job. When you use them, your browser connects directly to that service, which may receive your IP address and standard request information:

• YouTube — the YouTube Thumbnail Grabber and YouTube Embed Code Generator load images or previews from YouTube.
• Vimeo — the Vimeo Thumbnail Grabber looks up video details through Vimeo's public API.
• Google Fonts — the Text to Handwriting Converter and Google Fonts Pair Finder load fonts from Google Fonts.

These requests only happen when you use those specific tools and are governed by the privacy policies of those providers.

7. What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use your content to train AI models.
• We do not show personalized advertising or build profiles about you.

8. How we protect information

We use HTTPS encryption, access controls and other reasonable safeguards to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

9. Children

ToolzHive is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal information you sent us through the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. To make a request, choose "Privacy request" on the contact page.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
